One-Year Programme (Level 01)

The one-year postgraduate degree in Public Management provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be competent managers in government and non-government organizations. Students must complete coursework (30 credits) with a policy paper to be awarded the Master of Public Management degree.

Two-Years Programme (Level 02)

The two-year postgraduate degree in Public Management has been designed for students keen to gain a broader knowledge and skills in public management with research experience. Students must complete coursework (60 credits) and a research paper on a wide range of managerial or policy issues to be awarded the Master of Public Management degree.

Who Can Apply?

Prospective candidates must possess the following entry qualifications:

Entry Criteria

  • A Bachelor’s degree including 30 credits in the relevant subject area OR
  • A qualification of SLQF level 6 or above in the relevant area of study OR
  • A professional qualification equivalent to SLQF level 6 or above OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree holder with a First or Second Class from a recognized University with a minimum of one year work experience in a managerial position OR
  • A Bachelor's Degree holder from a recognized University with a minimum of three years of work experience in a managerial position OR
  • Completion of NVQ level 7 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 0 – 4, as determined by the academic authority of HEI, may be considered for admission in that field of specialization OR
  • Being a Senior Manager of any State/Private Organization with three years of work experience in an executive capacity

Shortlisted applicants will undergo an interview as part of the comprehensive selection procedure
